Nut flush draw out of position
Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter
Villians are all quite loose and moderately aggressive based on my few hands at the table. Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, MP calls, Button raises, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls. Call ok here? Flop: (10 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds, MP raises, Button calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, MP calls, Button calls. Plan is to build a big pot. Well, that worked... Turn: (11 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, BB bets, MP calls, Button calls, Hero calls. I don't really want to be raised now since I'll bet getting 3 to 1 at best, so I plan to check-call. Bet instead? River: (15 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, BB checks, MP bets, Button raises, Hero folds, BB folds, MP 3-bets, Button calls. Worst... flush... ever... Final Pot: 21 BB Comments? |

Re: Nut flush draw out of position
PF: I like a call here. You will frequently get a 5-way pot where you can c/r the PFR or lead into the field to build a pot w/a good draw.
Flop: Bet/3-Bet looks good. Even if BB folds, you are still getting 2-1 on your re-raise, w/ the nut-flush draw and an overcard that might not be good. BB will call frequently anyway though in this big pot, so you likely will get 3-1 on your re-raise. Turn: I like a check/call. A bet has no fold equity 4-way in a big pot, and a 4 is just going to raise your bet. Your flop 3-bet might even freeze the turn action, giving you a free card which would be nice. River: I play this the same, the action behind you will usually let you know whether you're beat on a double-paired board. So all in all I play it the exact same way you played it. |
