Has an impact on your table image and the way people look at/ play at you. If you dress sharp or expensively versus slovenly or whatever?

Of course. Flashy clothes or jewelry are signs of a loose and aggressive player. Someone who doesn't take off their tie after work at the card room is conservative, like a rock. And if someone seems to be there more for the conversation and socializing then they might be a fish. You always have to be careful though, because some tough players carry these same disguises.

A lot of times I'll wear my Ireland rugby jersey. Whenever I win a big pot, it's always because I'm "lucky".

[/ QUOTE ] I knew a guy who always wore funny shirts as a way to keep to the table vibe relaxed and friendly. I think how you dress is what is the image you want to convey to people, like the other posters have said. |

I am so fascinated that you bumped this thread 5 minutes after you posted it, that I can't even think about the question.

The pinky rings, tooth picks, nylon warm up suits on a guy named joey at the table is always an intimidating factor.
