NL tricks and traps

When playing NL, what are the best ways to get the most money in the pot? What are the best ways to get a horrible player to put a lot of chips in, and what is the best way to get someone who know what they are doing to push a big stack in? How do you treat these two differently? Any tricks would be helpful, I'm just very frusterated by the fact that I can't get my big hands to pay off well. Thanks.
