Maybe it was a good play on UTG part, but what do you put him on?

Why is the title "bad read?"
What were you putting UTG on?

From context I am guessing UTG turned over the nut flush. I like his play on the flop. The raise may send out the wrong message about his hand and may freeze the preflop raiser. Many players are likely folding for one anyway on this board, so he may as well see if he can get some to call for two and build the pot for himself.

How sure are you about your value bet on the river?

I put him on Ax, but with the flop raise he might have trips, but with so many people calling I would have thought he'd cap the flop with trips or raise the turn.

Looks good to me.

UTG has flush? I figure UTG had a flush draw and his raise was a smart play with more then 3 people in the pot. Then he hits it and instead of raising he wants to suck you and others in for more bets which is wrong. If he has the hand he should raise because people will call the raise ANYWAY.

You would have right?

Then he calls on the river to get MP2s bet, which is not a bad move in my book. If he raises he loses MP2 and he would maybe lose you (he would lose me!).

Looks good to be - you could not get more aggressive and you had the hand. I might have checked/called on the river.
