Define: Kill/Half-kill
Hi all,
I frequent two cardrooms: Capitol Casino in Sac, and the room at Cache Creek. Capitol plays with a half-kill, and Creek plays both half and full kill. As I understand it, when a pot is killed, the following happens: Full Kill: the Killer posts a live blind equal in size to the big blind of the killed amount and the stakes double. Example: 4/8 game killed. killer posts 8 chips and the game is 8/16. Half Kill: the game is now 1.5x the stake. Eg, 3/6 is now 4/8, 4/8 is now 6/12. No posting required. I was playing another club and they combined the two (three quarters kill?) -- the killer posts, but the stakes are still only 1.5x. They called it half-kill. I mentioned that in half-kill there is no post and got berated by another player about it. What am I missing? |

Re: Define: Kill/Half-kill
The 2 half kill games I have played in (Circus Circus Reno, MGM Vegas) a kill blind was posted.

Sorry for the hijack, but how are the games at Capitol Casino? What's the rake?

Re: Define: Kill/Half-kill
not half big blind, but you know, post 6 instead of 8 in a 4/8 1/2 kill game?
