I don't like it. CO isn't betting the flop without a K or J. A J just made him trips, and you're now costing yourself 3BB on the turn to hit your straight. Also, look at the villain's stats. He's a loose calling station. You think he's going to fold a K if he has it? Even a thinking TAG is going to call with his K in a HU situation. Call the turn, fold river UI.

I'm new to short handed as well, but for what it's worth I don't like it. With four other people in the hand on the flop, the chances of someone having either a King or Jack is greatly increased. Additionally, someone with a vpip of 55 is likely to be playing almost any face card.
By raising the turn, you're not making CO fold a jack or a king, and he's probably not betting into such a large crowd on the flop without one of those two. Check call and fold the river unimproved. |
