$109s - BB Post Flop With J6o
No reads. UTG+1 doubled up some donkey with QQ versus TT.
Turn is pretty standard I think, the river is where I'm questioning myself. Should I let him bet his clubs? He may also be on a lesser pair and just check it through, and I really don't want to show this hand down... Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (8 handed) converter SB (t975) Hero (t960) UTG (t585) UTG+1 (t2245) MP1 (t960) MP2 (t1130) CO (t1000) Button (t2145) Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t15, MP1 calls t15, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks. How is the turn standard? You're betting into 2 people with one behind with nothing but a gutshot. The pot is hardly worth it. If I do that and make it to the river, well I've hit one of my outs, I'm probably betting/folding to a raise.

Re: $109s - BB Post Flop With J6o
If MP1 or UTG+1 had a hand they would have bet on the flop to protect their hand. If SB was sandbagging a monster he would have lead the turn. This bet picks up the pot a large percentage of the time.

I don't say this enough, but you vastly overestimate the intelligence of your opponents. Even at the 109s I would not be shocked to find out one of them had a 9 or K and will call you down to the river.

This bet picks up the very insignificant pot a large percentage of the time. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, so basically you just don't need to really do much here with so many in the hand with you...too much of the time someone sticks out the hand against you with a middle pair or weak top pair. You're going to have a hard time getting more chips into this pot (making it worth taking down) without having the worst hand... I say just keep checking and make them feel your presence at a different time. Yugoslav |
