I can\'t tell if they are joking or not....
I saw this site dedicated to game theory of Rock Paper Scissors. It was pretty funny. I had a laugh, thought some of it was poker inspired, correlating the RPS "gambit" to a line a player could have in a situation in limit HE (sorry for mentioning the forbidden topic in OOT).
That was when I saw that they had forums, and after reading some of it, I am very confused. What do you guys think, are they for real?

There are actually a number of those sites around like RPS Champs. They're completely for real. Some of them actually have pretty good game theory discussions. Actually this should get a pile of cow manure because it has been posted before, but it's been awhile so I'll let it slide.

I was watching the Tonight Show I believe it was, and one of the guests was the recent paper rock scissors champion, he was talking about all these "strategic moves" and even had names for them. One was called the atomic bomb and consisted of three rocks in a row. I only wish I had talent like that man, throwing out paper and scissors with no fear. Maybe if I practice enough...

I found this site years ago, when the bulletin board was very rudimentary. I wondered the same thing. Since then, I've read a bit about them in the news media, and the people are definitely real.
The roleplaying they do on that bulletin board is pretty bizarre, though. -McGee
