My homegame is so damn soft it\'s embarassing (lc)
7 handed, $.5 - $1 blinds. I am in the BB with AA and about $150, and the others stacks range from $60 or so (MP) to covering me (UTG).
Everyone limps to the button who makes it $3. SB calls. I reraise to $25, get four callers (UTG, MP, button and SB). Flop comes down 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB checks, I bet $50, UTG calls, MP folds, button calls, SB calls. Turn is the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB checks, I push, everyone calls. River is a spade, and I think the pot is definitly lost now if it wasn't allready lost. I show my aces, UTG shows KQo, MP shows KQo as well (that he folded on the flop), button shows 88 and SB shows 66. I take down a friggin' gigantic (in terms of BBs) pot and don't know if I should laugh or cry. |

I would refrain from doing either, and instead keep my head down and play, and invite them to come tomorrow for more : )
Laugh when the last person closes your front door, but until then, play it off as lucky cards : ) |

[/ QUOTE ] Buy drinks. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Yeah. That is clearly the correct answer. I'm planning on trying out a 100%vpip strategy next time. (Meaning if someone open pushes preflop I'll call with any two, allthough I won't tell them that of course .) I'll be damned if I can't still make a profit. (The guy who called me down with KQo don't play normally though.) And if I can't make a profit, I won't mind donating some into that crowd after the last weeks. |
