I think I fold this. You have some better spots coming up when the final table comes together

[/ QUOTE ] I think this is really hard just because of the temptation to wait four more spots. I THINK I would fold this, because of a few reasons: 1) You have absolutely no fold equity. IF you wait for a pot where you are the first in, you have a good chance of making people fold -- especially since your stack will still make a pretty good sized dent in most players stacks; 2) You are at best a 60-40 favorite (unless he has a worse ace-rag), and you could easily be dominated; and 3) Four more spots until the WSOP -- if you are going to put your chips in, I would find a better spot. So it's a fold for me. A tough one though. Six-handed, and you've got a possible steal in front of you. Close, but a fold I think. |

why get involved with a big stack for half of your stack with only a marginal hand? i see this as a fold in this type of tourney. maybe in a non-satellite tourney i may go with it, but i'm not sure.

This is entirely read dependant on the CO. Is he the sort of person who raises half the pots?
You can't fold a 60/40 edge with 7 BB. 55/45 maybe. Put him on a range of hands from your past experience, and push if it's wide enough. |

[/ QUOTE ] You don't call here to see a flop. You either fold, push, or play a stop and go. If villain was raising a lot, I would push. You may bave some folding equity. Villain has a good chance for a seat now, but not if he loses the hand. You are dominated by A8, 77, or higher, but ahead of everything else. You have significant pot odds. I would play very aggressive as a short stack this close to the bubble. |

The only flops we saw were when the 2 big stacks played against one another and then it was 1st to bet takes it. I'll post he last significant hand villian had when I get home later but the gist was : blinds 3K/6K he had 50K in small blind. Button raised to 18K and villian pushed with KJs. |

Unless my understanding of the stop-n-go is wrong, you can't pull a stop-n-go from the button.
