$30/60: Easy flop decision?
$30/60 full table at UltimateBet.
It's folded to the button, who raises, the small blind calls, and I call in the big blind with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. The flop comes: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check, the button bets and the smallblind checkraises. Is there a clear best choice between leading out or checking this flop, and once I check, what's the best option between folding, 3-betting and the action I took of cold-calling? lars |

It looks like you're drawing to 6 outs, if you aren't already drawing dead. I'd fold here.

Re: $30/60: Easy flop decision?
He can't be drawing dead. He has 4 outs to the nuts. As for the hand itself, I think the advantage of leading is that you can hope the button will raise, pushing the SB out. Now that it's 2 bets back to you, I'd lean towards a fold. But I don't play 30/60, so maybe you should wait for others' advice.

Re: $30/60: Easy flop decision?
I think he meant drawing dead to win. (Although technically that's not true either with two to come.)
Either way, I would've 3-bet that preflop, unless the button never tries to steal. If he just calls, lead the flop. As it was, I'd say fold to the CR. |

Re: $30/60: Easy flop decision?
I think the call PF is fine, and I'd check-raise the flop if the SB had called or folded. given the SB's check-raise, I fold. you don't have enough outs / clean outs to put in 2 more small bets, and you could have to put in more if the button decides to 3bet..

Re: $30/60: Easy flop decision?
I would bet this flop specifically so it's never two back to you, given that you checked, i would fold the flop.

The flop check is fine. But once the SB raises, I think you need to get out of there.
