flush draw out of BB
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter
Raiser insta-raised, which means he hit the flop. Callers both marked as fishy - basically any two. Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks. Flop: (5.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, MP2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls. So I hit a flush draw on my BB, I bet out with so many people in the pot. Insta raised I call the raise. Turn: (6.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, CO folds, Button calls, Hero calls. Check-call River: (9.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, Button calls, Hero calls. Flush hits, I check hoping for a checkraise (or if I see a raise after me I think about throwing away my hand). Button takes a while to call and I chicken out and flat call. How did I do? Final Pot: 12.75 BB |

Re: flush draw out of BB
If you don't have the stones to raise that river, then you shouldn't have even been calling in the first place. You hit your draw! You have an overwhelming chance of winning now. Raise! Win money!
Seriously, man. I don't mean to berate you for beratings sake, but this is important. If you can't bring yourself to raise when you have the best hand and are closing the action, it's time to look for an alternate activity to poker. First step, raising with the best hand. Next up, raising when you may not have the best hand, and 3betting draws for value (which you could have done on the flop here). |

I still like a raise on the river.

I 3 bet this flop.
I checkraise this river -- EASY checkraise. I probably just call a 3 bet though. [ QUOTE ] Button takes a while to call and I chicken out and flat call. Re: flush draw out of BB
Reraise the flop with your equity edge. Even if UTG-1 raises again, the CO and Button will probably call two again.
Turn I would play the same. I think your beating UTG-1 and Button more than 33% of the time, follow through with your checkraise. Even if it is two back to you I would still consider calling since you could be looking at ragged two pair or a straight from the Button. |

Re: flush draw out of BB
I doubt you will see a ragged two pair since the board's high card paired on the turn.
