Default Overplayed AJ with A44 flop?

Villain is unknown although he's 50/30 over 10 hands.. I was confused on this one.. Any comments on all streets appreciated. Should i be betting this river at all? or is this c/c territory..

I call down after the flop. Is this right? I'm not real sure.

Everything is fine except the river. You'll usually tie here, and sometimes lose to quads. Rarely, if ever, will you win. So a bet has no positive expectation, and you should check and call.

If you will rarely, if ever win, why not check fold?

I like it up to the turn.

Check-call the river. Betting will fold a worse hand (not really possible here) or make a better one raise, which I assumed happened, given the action of the hand.

I agree with everything and I would check/call the river as well. NOW, what if the CO capped the flop instead of just calling? What would you guys do?

For me, this is about reads. If he's pretty aggressive (hard to tell over 10 hands), then I would lead again and call down, but if he's normal, c/c, or passive, maybe c/f, not sure. I suck at laying down TP, especially because I'm at least alive for a split, if not cracking a 4 outright.

You rarely win outright, you will of course usually split with another A. I assume you understood that.
