Don't call it the big bling unless you beat him into the pot.

When you say maniac... has he pushed preflop a lot? If so, have you ever seen what he's done it with?

Many maniacs are aggressive, but don't necessarily bet all in preflop a lot.

A GOOD maniac still has decent all in preflop standards. A lot of maniacs bet aggressively with weaker hands knowing that people will want to call them when they have a monster.

If he's an idiot, call. If he's a good lag, I'd say he has AK, Aces or Kings in which case you're a coinflip at best, completely dominated at the worst.

I know that didn't answer your question, but I think people toss the word 'maniac' around rathar loosely. I would want to know a little more about how he's been playing (especially preflop) before I would make that call. Information is power!

he has been a maniac after the flop..ie-callin and allin bet with just a flush draw, which he hit...showed down a few K7 and q4s..but has not really done much to say that he has a hand here or not...but neither a bluff or AA would surprise me here

Easy call. If he has done that move many times.

QQ are upp aginst KK,AA like 10% of the time.

And if he is a maniac then he might push here whit Aj.
Why should he push here whit KK,AA ??

That would be an werry bad play beacuse will anybody really call?

What i think. But i might be wrong

I'd guess AK/Q/J or KQ suited depending on the maniacal tendencies he has - far too strong for AA-KK.

But it's too risky unless you've seen him all in at least once a round.

I'd fold.

So, you don't know where you are, really. It's probably wise to fold, I'd say. That is, unless you have some other information (or read) that leads you to believe he'd do this with more than, say TT-AA and KAs – which puts you roughly on a coin flip. You might realise later that you should have called, but that happens.

Is there a cap on the buy-in? if you call and lose here, is that going to mean that you won’t be able to get $320 in against the maniac in 10 hands time when you have a clearer large advantage? That might be reason enough to sway your decision if he’s really that crazy post flop and you don’t know where you stand right now…
