I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed) converter
MP (t1045) Button (t2575) Hero (t2218) BB (t500) UTG (t1662) Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG raises to t450, 4 folds. Final Pot: t675 I really had no idea what to do this hand, so I got sheepish and folded. I need help on this one, so all posts will be appreciated. |

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
i posted a similar question the other day, didn't get much of a response
folding is probably best because although it's possible that raiser folds, but it's also quite a gamble if you push because you shouldn't be getting called by worse (pushing and having him call with JJ kinda sucks) |

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
without a read i dont know what to do either. i tend to lean towards folding here, but if the player is weak and you can be pretty sure that he isnt setting a trap, this is a great spot for a push.

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
You're in good shape with 2200 in chips, and you will be out of position if you see a flop, so I dont see any need to get involved with this hand. This is also dependent on your read of the raiser. If he has been loose and raising a ton, then I would probably push or make a significant raise. If you didnt have a read on him or if he had been playing tight, I would fold and wait for a better spot (where you can be doing the betting).

Absent reads, I don't get fancy here. I just fold like you did.

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
I play at the $109 level and it is likely a blind steal even from UTG. I think AQ is too much hand in a 5 handed game. My standard play is to reraise unless UTG is playing tight. The only hands you are afraid of are AK, AA, KK, and QQ.

Buy-in?
With no reads here is how I play this: I respect this raise with a fold at 33s from UTG and possibly MP. If the button or SB do this my stack gets pushed into the middle very, very quickly. |

Re: I can\'t think of a line this hand that I\'m happy with
you're also "afraid" of JJ-88 because he's probably calling your push and you don't want a flip when in good shape like that
