when a rock limp-reraises btf
does it "automatically" mean AA?
and what the hell do you do if you raise with KK in LP, weak-tight person limp-reraises, and 5 other people join in for a 20-1 call back to you? well, call, of course. now, what do you do for 1 bet on the flop when you fail to improve? well, call, right? when you fail to improve on the turn? this is the conundrum--the pot is so large now (call it 15:1) that if there's any doubt in your mind that he has AA, you pretty much have to call. don't you? the cost of being wrong is enormous. plus you have a two-out draw anyway. maybe you could futz with him and raise on the river? is that a good idea? |

Re: when a rock limp-reraises btf

Pretty much. Or K-K. So A-A is must more likely. "maybe you could futz with him and raise on the river? is that a good idea?" I once posted a similar situation where a Q came on the river and the consensus was that a raise on my part (I had pocket kings) would be foolhardy; he's going to call because he has two aces and there's so much money in the pot. (They also felt my call was somewhat foolhardy, since there wasn't much doubt in my mind he had pocket Aces, but the pot was similarly large to the one you've posted.) |

"maybe you could futz with him and raise on the river? is that a good idea?" NO, "futzing" with AA is generally not a good idea if you only have KK and a "ROCK" is your opponent. Unless your rock will lay down with that HUGE pot, forget the "futz" here.
