Default The transition from NL to limit is pretty damn easy!!! (Low content)

I'm still going to play NL. However, I'm not going to play more than 2 tables for NL for various reasons (I used to 4-table NL). I have to admit, I chose to switch from NL to limit because of HUGE short-term fluctuations in NL. For example, it sucks when you're risking over a thousand dollars where you're a 80% favorite and lose. I also find limit to be MUCH easier to multi-table because it's more mathematical in nature and less to do with "playing the player". It's a beautiful day today!!! Swings are bigger in limit than NL.

Swings for the long-term in limit, yes. Swings for the short-term in limit, no.

That depends how you classify long term But you are right that you will never lose 100BB in one hand in limit. But you will regularly find yourself frustrated by a series of bad beats.

what are you talking about exactly?

swings imo = variance = sd^2.

if you have a high variance then the size of your short term swings will be higher than if you have a low variance both in the long and short term on average. if you mean you can lose one POT then probably yea NL has bigger "swings" but thats a pretty silly way to look at it imo...

overall, players, from what im told, have higher variance in limit than nl.

Limit definetly has bad swings, because alot of times you will be getting correct odds to draw in spots where you could never draw in no limit. Like spots where your 7 to 1 and getting correct odds. In the long run it is profitable but in short term you will likely lose. But if you want to multi table, limit is much better for that.

That's what I mean when I say "short-term"
