Would it be suspicious?
To walk in your bank with 5k in cash and ask for a cashiers check?

Re: Would it be suspicious?
Depends. Which bank where, and what time are you planning on being there?

Re: Would it be suspicious?
I don't think they would care too much. If it is, I think it being your bank will make it less weird.

Re: Would it be suspicious?
My bank has never had a problem giving me 5k cash for a check. Why would they act differently in the reverse?

Re: Would it be suspicious?
I worked for a US bank while I was in high school and this wasn't too unusual to see. -More than 10 grand we had to fill out some papers.
If you came in with 5k in 20's and hat on sideways you would get reported... just the way the world is. so don't wear your hat sideways. |

Re: Would it be suspicious?
The better question would be how can you find out if a CTR has ever been filed for your activity.
