Default AQ - trusting my read enough to fold?

UTG+2 was very loose and fairly passive. Had called me down in a previous hand and raised pot with J5o and bottom pair to catch his trips on the river.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 5 folds, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG+2 calls, SB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, SB calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 calls, SB calls.

Turn: (7.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, SB calls.

River: (10.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, SB folds, Hero ???

I guess I really have 2 questions:

1) Is it better to check/call on that scary river card and get a showdown or is that missing a value bet?

2) Given the way I played it and my read on the player, am I good the 1 time in 13 there that I need to be to make that call? I.e., is there anything that isn't a bluff that UTG+2 will make a river raise with that I can beat?

Especially with the way the SB has played up until the river, I would check behind. That river card sucks.

As for calling the river bet, I don't really know. He doesn't have to be bluffing or retarded very often to make it okay, and his raise on the flop makes me want to call; (even though he does have a history of raising w/ bottom pair and the like.)

I doubt you're winning but I would still pay it off. A better player than I could probably fold in this spot, but this guy sounds like kind of a strange ranger so I'd call.

This sounds like a VERY good reason to check/call.

I should have said "I doubt you're winning after he raises the river but I would still pay it off."

I think if you're going to bet this river you have to be able to fold to a raise. The 3bet on the flop screams "queen" his raise on the river tells me he can beat that. I've seen fish do this w/ just a King in this spot, and even if thats all he has, he still beats you.
