Hero - Post big blind $0.25
Hero - Pocket [8c,8d]

UTG - Calls $0.25
1 Fold
MP1 - Calls $0.25
2 Folds
CO - Calls $0.25

SB - Calls $0.25
Hero ?

*** FLOP [Kc,9s,10c] ***

Hero ?

I felt like I should have raised preflop to thin the field but did not. Then I felt like C/F was best after the flop.

Whats your line?

Check in the BB pre-flop.

Check/fold the flop.

Check. What's the problem here? 88 should be played almost exclusively for set value. Raising PF isn't a great move here.

Just making sure I played it how it was supposed to be. Thanks for concurring.

I obviously doubted the pre-flop raise since I didn't follow through with it.

Most of the time you are playing 88 for set value, and you have a perfect example of that in this hand. You don't want to be raising a bunch of limpers while in the blinds with marginal hands since you will also then be out of position postflop.
