Default 100/200 something doesn\'t feel right

Button is dabest247 at PS if anyone is familiar with him. He seems okay but a little soft, I think he's capable of betting a hand worse than a K down here. It's hard to tell though I haven't been sitting with him long.

Nice hand.

Did you consider a donk bet on the river? Do you think he bets the river with AQ?

I probably would have bet the river instead of check-calling. The flushdraw may protect you from him raising and lots of times you have the best hand and he'll pay you off with much less.

and how about betting on the turn, instead of check-calling (because of the possible draws)?

If either of you have a pair it is going to showdown. I would have raised the flop and called down any bets/raises.

I considered this line. Raising his flop bet or just betting right into him but I know that even if he raises I'm going to be calling him down anyways so I didn't see the point in betting here. If it's because you think your hand has more value than his range of hands here the check/call, check/call, and bet river line seems a lot better. You care to explain more?

Let's forget about the 3rd diamond on the river that makes this a perfect river bet(I missed the 3 flush coming). I think this is the type of player who will raise my river bet with a worse hand so I must call his raise if I bet. I also believe that against his range of pre flop capping hands that I'm <50% on the river so why give him a chance to make a bigger pot when I have less equity?

Is it only the diamond river that makes you want to bet this or is this your regular line against this type of player on a K high board?

i should have said that i was going to call a river raise.

i do agree with you that you will probably be raised 95% of the time, and the other 5% he will fold.

thinking about it, i believe your line is best, sometimes being extremely passive against an extremely aggressive opponent is the only way to do it.
