Default 3bet 8 high flush?

I moved back from 6 max yesterday and need to readjust my aggresion, is this a check/call after villian raise the turn on an obvious flush card? No read on villian other than he seems tight aggressive.

I'd do it with 23 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Oh yes, 4-handed 6-handed 10-handed 12-handed, step on the gas. If you get capped on the turn, you might just check-call the river; if you get raised on the river, you might just call it rather than 3-bet it again. But you can easily put in all the bets you did and at least one more.

The "obvious flush card" is also makes a straight and is a great scare card (to you, he hopes) if he has a big jack and is trying to push you off a king or has two pair and is trying to push you off a draw.

I say 3-bet is great in this case, because a strong player will raise the turn with 2 pair, the straight, or even nothing if he thinks he has a chance of bluffing it if another spade doesn't fall. Since he called your 3 bet I'd put him on a high spade, the straight, or something like that... If he ended up having a higher flush, you/he saved you some bets.

YUP - 3 bet. I never put another player on a flush. Chances are way to slim to 2 guy to have a hlush draw (although I saw three guys have it last week).
