Default Good bluff?

I was fairly confident he had Ax. Should I have bet more on the river or just not tried it at all?? We had butt heads a couple times and he seemed solid enough to lay down Ax assuming I represented the Q. Comments on all streets (except preflop) welcome :-)

Can we ignore preflop, please? I know 95s is trash, but I was feeling pretty good about MP1 and stacks were more than 100xBB. I felt like I could be able to get a significant portion of his stack if I hit a flop.

But that's not the focus of my question. Was the bluff reasonable? How would you have played it assuming you accidentally called preflop? Raise more on the flop/turn or call down? Bet more on the river or not even bother?

Eto..

The problem is your betting doesn't really represent the Q. You flat call the flop, then make a raise on the turn. The turn doesn't complete any draws, so if villain is to believe you are raising because you have a good hand (and not making a play) it means you slowplayed something like 2-pair or a set on the flop, or that you hit 999 on the turn. Certainly after the turn raise, he is not putting you on a Q, nor could you have made a str8. Also, if you actually had something on the flop, wouldn't you raise his pot overbet? I think the action gives away your hand a bit.
If you want to make a move on the turn, I think you have to raise bigger, really try to sell the idea that you were waiting for no flush to hit to get the money in with a good hand you hit on the flop. You need to give him incentive to fold his presumably one-pair hand, esp. given the largeish stacks you both have. If I chose to make a play there, I would probably go up to about 6500. This way you are properly "protecting" against the flsh and str8 draws and showing real confidence in your hand.
Given the action thru the flop and his small bet on the turn, I would just call and hope to hit a spade or a 9 on the river. You have position and a lot of outs, and you are getting a good price to hit them.
IF, given the way you played the hand, you chose to bluff the river, again, you need to bet bigger. But in this situation I don't think it's a wise play.

Sure, you have position to call preflop, but he bet 1000 which kills your odds.

I don't think the river is a good time to bluff once you've already raised the turn. He has no reason to believe you have a Queen, since you raised the turn - unless you have exactly Q9 which he probably doubts.
