Default Blind Defense

No reads.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with Qh, 8h.
5 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.33 SB) 3s, Ah, Jh (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

Turn: (4.16 BB) 4d (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

River: (6.16 BB) 4c (2 players)
Hero bets

I love your line on flop and turn, but given how you played it, you have to check/fold the river.

You have shown nothing but strength so far, so whatever he called you with on the turn, he is very unlikely to fold on the river.

He wont fold QT, KT, KQ, or maybe an underpair?

Those hands aren't many given his possible range of stealing hands, IMO, and he's probably not sticking around with those after the turn bet.

Also, I think I would pick better hands to defend with.

We already discussed this hand. You played it fine up until the river, but I'm afraid that river bet doesn't make money.

Is there anything that would make betting this river profitable? For example, if he was 80/20, 50%ASB? Villian folded. So whatever he had, he was capable of folding. Im guessing certain opponents might be more likely to fold this river than others?
