Default Doing my best Tommy Angelo impression

Button has a 7% PFR and seems tight. Table went to [censored] and I'm leaving after this orbit.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Fnord is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Fnord raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Fnord folds.

Final Pot: 3.16 BB

Why? I'm out of position, dealing with a sane player, have no table image issues and have serious domination issues.

You're open-raising from the CO here, his 3betting hands is going to be much too wide to warrant a fold here getting 6.3-1

Poker Edge has him at 20,000 hands
14VP$IP
7.35% PFR
26.72% Att to steal blinds
83% Fold BB to steal
31.5% WtSD
What 3-bet range do you assign a guy like this? Doesn't seem the type to re-steal. Nor the type to play this horribly post-flop.

6.3-1 is kinda silly, because this isn't call one bet and we're done. Quite often we'll be in a spot were we'll have to pay off and/or miss value due to position. Maybe he's loosening up here and 3-betting AJ/KQ/KJ. Still like our hand?

Considering his Att. to steal blinds isn't terribly low, I assume he understands a steal raise, so I would think that his normal 7.35% raising is a decent range to put him on. According to pokerstove that means he's 3 betting with 88+, ATs+, KTs+, QJs, AQo. If that's so then you are a 31% against that range. Although that doesn't mean everything due to later action, you'd have to play pretty poorly postflop to justify a fold.

Seriously? I think playing by a really boring pre-flop chart gets you to 25%. I'm stealing 35-40% depending on the table texture.

Just because you're probably dominated, doesn't mean this is a correct fold.

You are getting 6-1, you have to call.

I agree. If the BB/SB 3-bet I'm calling this every time.

The combination of:
o Out of position
o Tight player who doesn't seem the stealing type
o Nor the type to play horribly post-flop
o I'm leaving, so I'm not worried about encouraging others to make moves on me.

Makes this close enough of a decision I think to warrent a post.

Consider if we just check/call this all the way we're getting approx 2:1.

Surely someone can do better than "dude, you're getting 6:1 to call that!"
