Default how do you play the turn here ?

No read at the time, then I checked tracker and our villain was playing over 50% of his hands. What do you think about the hand ? I look back at the turn, and wonder if I raise there. By the river I have no choice but to call.

So to raise the turn, or not ?

How passive is he postflop? It helps to know if he pumps draws or not. A more aggressive player could easily have had an OESD on the flop.

A passive one either had two pair/set, or a made straight. You have a lot of outs to improve if you are behind, but I have a hard time putting him on a worse hand very often when he bets the turn with a 4-straight on board.

I'd say you're behind. But I think i'd play it the same way you did.

Raise, with 9 BBs in there at worst youre paying 3BBs for a 15 BB pot. If you are beat you have 10 outs to the boat or better giving you much better than the 1 to 5 you need to call. If you get reraised call and reevaluate on the river. villain could easily have JT,T9,98 if hes playing 50% of hands.

I would call the turn. Raising the turn and getting 3-bet by a straight is nasty when you can just see if you fill or not on the river for one bet.
