Tough QQ preflop decision
This is from a Stars $10 rebuy a few weeks ago. It's less than 15 minutes after the add-on, blinds are 75/150. I started the hand with ~11K, main villain started with ~17K.
Table is loose. During the rebuy hour, villain pushed behind me in small pots no less than 10 times, showing down hands like KQ and AT. He was complaining that he can't let any of us luckboxes see a cheap flop. UTG limps, I raise to 450, a MP player calls, villain makes it 1000, CO calls, button calls, UTG calls, I......? I was really torn between making a substantial raise that doesn't commit me, say to 3000-3500, and calling/re-evaluating on the flop, although there are plenty of disadvantages that come with that second option. |

Re: Tough QQ preflop decision
I think a re-raise of 3K would be good with QQ. See where you are at. Don't make it cheap for him. He thinks with that comment he is going to be able to push the table around. You have enough chips to test his 1K, so do. If you get callers reevaluate the flop I don't like folding when he was advertising being a bully to not let crap shoots see a draw. You have a decent hand so play.
