Default Not sure about how I played this final table hand...

This is a hand from the final table of the $5000 guaranteed tourney on Empire last night. Villian had been aggressive and had won most of his pots without showdown. After I called, Villian berated me for calling. Was I incorrect to call his all in here?

I bet a little more on the flop (7.5k)... and against an aggresive opponent I think I tank for awhile and call.

Very good point about the size of my flop bet. I hadn't really thought about it being too small, but it most certainly was. My smallish bet conveyed my concern about 3 clubs being on the board, and it was an open invitation to an aggressive player to try to bluff me off the pot. Even if he'd just called my T5000 bet, if he had one club, he'd be getting enough implied odds to call if he thought I would pay him off if the fourth club hit.

Looking back on this hand, I think my small flop bet was the key. If I'd made a larger bet (7500 - 8000), there was a greater chance he would have folded and I could have avoided this tough decision altogether.

I think i would have bet 8k and then probably called the reraise as well, however its by no means an easy call.

However the fact that you described him as very aggressive and

Set
Made club flush (can almost be discarded because you have absolutely no way of putting your opponent on this hand and the chances are slim, or I'd discard it anyway, thoughts?)
AK/AQ or Ax(paired kicker) or ofc the low two pair
these are the only hands that are beating you and I wouldn't put my opponent on these more than 10% of the time in this situation.
So therefore you could be up against a club flush draw but thats okay to put your money in against especially when you have 10k (13k if raised more) in the pot already.

I think its played well anyway, and played well i mean good call, I'd have raised more but I guess you didn't even think about it, making these scared raises is so easy without even thinking for example i limped with KK late into the tourny (blinds 200 me utg)
got 2 callers flop comes 9/j/j
I bet under half the pot and it folded fortunately, but thats a scared bet just cos i was like ok i'm beaten.

i would also call against an unknown opponent and expect to get shown a pair + flush draw.

He's got 2x the pot left? OK, I push.

This move may even fold AQ, no clubs, and boy do I hate a checkraise or even a call on this board.
