Default Running Bad - This Sort Of Thing\'s Why

Would you have got away from this?

The villain here has been playing a lot of hands and not particularly aggressively, tending to be a bit of a calling station. I really only considered the possibility of a full house when the river bet came in but by then there was so much in the pot...

Party Poker Pot-Limit Hold'em, $25 BB (8 handed) converter

BB ($19.43)
UTG ($29.3)
UTG+1 ($7.65)
MP1 ($55.7)
MP2 ($11.45)
CO ($31.04)
maybedinero ($24.23)
SB ($35.8)

Preflop: maybedinero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, maybedinero calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.35) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $0.25</font>, MP2 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, <font color="#CC3333">maybedinero raises to $2</font>, BB calls $2, MP1 calls $1.75, MP2 folds, CO calls $1.75.

Turn: ($9.60) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, <font color="#CC3333">maybedinero bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $6</font>, MP1 folds, CO calls $6, maybedinero calls $4.

River: ($27.60) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB calls $11.18 (All-In), CO folds, maybedinero calls $11.18.

Final Pot: $49.96

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
BB has 2h Jh (full house, jacks full of twos).
maybedinero has Js Td (three of a kind, jacks).
Outcome: BB wins $49.96. </font>

only way your going to get J2 out of this hand is if you raise preflop...

You would seriously fold JT, on the button, with no raise, in a $25 PL game?

Afterwards I felt my biggest mistake was not raising enough on the flop--when I get trips I usually try to play it a bit slow until the turn unless I'm really confident I'll get a call. Maybe I should stop playing them like that?

You should raise more on the flop because there is a flush draw AND str8 draw and alot of people seem to be interested in this pot...not because you want to blow J2 out of the pot.
