Default 99 in BB...anybody making this call PF?

MP1 is tight and pretty aggressive with good starting cards. The table is fairly tight, tho, and I have seen him try to steal from this position, playing on his table-image.

MP3 is all-in preflop.

Folding here would be insane.

I would usually three-bet.

I would call and check-raise the flop with an overpair. And check-raise the turn with a set. The odds are over 5-to-1, folding is not an option to me.

I think the title should be, anybody not making this call preflop.

Wow. Well, me, for one. I'll be HU against a TAG with only 1.5BB of dead money in the pot. If I don't catch my set, I'm dodging about 1/3 of the deck since my read is he is playing at least reasonable starting cards (even if he's raising to steal, he's not doing it with NOTHING), or drawing to 2 outs if he has a good PP. So, the way I see it is I'm getting 5-1 pot odds on an 8-1 chance of being able to play past the flop.

This is ridiculous on so many levels I don't know where to start.

If villain is a TAG, why do we think he is raising to steal from MP1? I think it's fair to put him on a big pair or premium holding.

I still call with 9s here though. You're f***ed if he has TT-AA, but you can sure raise if your nines are an overpair.

Villain is more likely to have 2 overcards than a higher pocket pair. An unfavorable flop (for him) leaves him with as few as 6 outs. If you 3-bet pre-flop and lead out the flop and turn, he will be hard pressed to keep calling you unless he improves, in which case he will probably raise you, letting you know where you stand.
