Re: Boring Hand Check # 2
This hand is terribly played.
1. Don't raise preflop. Which hands are you a favorite against which would call a raise? Not many without a good flop. 2. Bet more on the flop, it hit you right in the face. You've got a good hand. You're not gonna win more later if they don't even call a reasonably sized bet on the flop. In this case, bet $2. 3. Your opponent shows absolutely no strength at all, he's not gonna bet on the river if that's what you want. And if a bad card hits, you'll be in a lot of trouble trying to make out what his bet means. Bet here and hope to be done with thand. Pot-sized bet is ok. In this case, $4. Your hand is strong, but not unbeatable. If you dont bet on the turn, it might potentially cost you the whole pot. 5. By not betting fourth street you put yourself in a bit of a situation here... He might read you for weak and take a shot, or he might actually have you beat with those 2's. Probably wouldn't have happened would you've bet 4th street. See, this hand is badly played because: * You played a bad starting hand, especially with a pf raise. * After the flop your hand was very strong but you played it very weak. * You let your opponent get free/cheap cards that could beat you. |

Re: Boring Hand Check # 2
The 32/3/3.5 line strikes me as strange... one of these things is not like the others. If the 3.5 AF is accurate, then there's obviously a good chance that the river bet is an auto-bluff at a paired board after you've shown weakness.

Re: Boring Hand Check # 2
Meh, it's been about 2 orbits since I've raised and I've got a good chance to buy a button from a tight player. Plus I like taking blinds.
