I\'m in need of a favour from an American fellow
I'm going to Tour de France in July (watching, not attending), and I would very much want a copy of "2005 VeloNews Tour de France Guide", but sales are limited to North American residents only.
Is there any American fellow here who trust me enough to buy a copy ($7.99), send it to me in Sweden ($I_DONT_KNOW) and get all costs covered afterwards by a Neteller/Poker site transfer? The book will be in stock around June 13, but they usually sell out so a pre-order has to be done as early as possible on this web page: http://store.velogear.com/20vetodefrgu1.html I don't know about shipping rates/time from US to Sweden. It doesn't have to be over night, so it will do with the cheapest rate that will get me the goods well in time before I leave for France on July 13. Thanks for any possible help! Adde |

Re: I\'m in need of a favour from an American fellow
You are not going to like the price after shipping.
To order within the USA, it is 7.99 + 4.75 shipping, and it could be the 20th or 25th of June before someone here gets it. To guarantee it reaches Sweden quickly it will have to be airmailed - cheapest way is usually a Priority Mail flat-rate envelope at 9.00. Surface mail might take more than 3 weeks. So, your $8 book is up to $21.75, and there is a fee for accepting Neteller transfers too. I doubt anyone would do this for less than $23. I also doubt anyone would do this without being paid up front for it. |

I could do it, but you'd have to pay up front.

Send me half the expected cost up front, and the other half when you get it, and I will order it today.
Ah, I see CW has you covered, anyway, have fun at the race, that would be such a blast. I will be glued to the TV the whole race, then riding the hell out of my new Salsa pretending I am in the hunt. |

[/ QUOTE ] I realize you don't mean this as a slight towards Adde, but his reputation is very solid and there are many who wouldn't mind helping him out without worrying about the money, he's good for it. (I know of at least one person who has PM'ed him already.) J |

Re: I\'m in need of a favour from an American fellow
I got it taken care of. Thank you all, you are the best!
Now, on july 17, turn on your tv and look out for a handsome (hehe), semi-young (34) guy up the last mountain top of the day. That would be me, probably wearing a t-shirt with a swedish flag on. If you haven't got into bike racing on tv, give it a chance this Tour de France. A couple of years ago I thought it was boring hell to watch, but when talked into it by a friend I have gotten to love it. Now I say it's the greatest show on earth.
