Default How do you B & M pro\'s do it?

I usually go play in a live game at my local casino once a week.

No matter what day it is or the time of day I am always on a waiting list of 10-20 people which equals anywhere from a 1-3 hour wait to play. Doesn't matter if it is 8 am on a weekday or 9pm on a Friday night . There is always a wait.

This has always been even been the case even bofore the current poker boom.

Is this typical in any casino? Or is the one I go to just really busy.

it's the one you go to -

places with lots of card rooms, like Vegas/AC/Los Angeles, probalby not a problem

places like where I'm at - where the only cardroom is a 27 table one - big room, but not for everyone in Minneapolis who wants to play poker - just not worth going out on Fri/Sat. night -

but most nights I can find a 3/6 seat until I can get into 6/12

I live in the Tornto area in Canada and I have 2 choices
Port Perry which is about an hour drive round trip and Ramma which is about 4 hours round trip.

Port Perry has maybe 12 tables and Rama has baout 18-20 tables.

Anyone know what the Niagra falls Poker room is like?

The FallsView Rooms is small there tables are trash and the dealers are slow. The upside is the players are the smae way Weekends are horrible though to get on a list and wait. Casino Niagara is all low limit, so I havent been there yet. here its buy too. Seneca weekends are rough, daily its not so bad cept after work.

There's Brantford as well, probably 2 hours or so round trip from Toronto. Never been there myself.

Call ahead seating. Sometimes if the room is really busy slip the guy a 20 and see that works. They will remember you next week.
That has worked for me a few times in smaller rooms
