Default A9 off in BB...these situations kill me

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP raises, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

Turn: (3.20 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP calls.

River: (5.20 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, MP folds.

Final Pot: 6.20 BB

What should my line be here if I miss the turn? My blind defense really sucks, so I'm open to any suggestions.

I prefer a flop c/r here instead of betting out. Many 5/10 players will raise your bet out even with missed overs. Sometimes they'll check through the turn and sometimes they'll semi-bluff again. The point is that you really can't what they have, and they have the initiative again. I also think your folding equity on the turn is better if you go for a flop c/r than betting out.

In your specific case, barring aread I bet the turn again if I miss. I think it's +EV with the pot giving you 3.2:1
