Default A hand where everyone sucks

Everyone is bad at this table. Everyone.

if it matter, the river checkraiser did the exact same thing hand previous. he turned trips, called. then checkraised the river.

I fold preflop.

Sounds like a table full of people you can't get to fold, so the ISO move on early limper is not going to work.

Am I off base here?

I think i'm checking the turn through, you're not picking up this pot here and you're likely to get c/r'd.

Yeah, at the time I felt there was a good chance I had the best hand - maybe not often enough though.

I need to KNOW that I'm buying the button here and folding at least one of the blinds. Read on the table doesn't make this sound like it'd be the case.

I agree with meep on the turn - I'm check-folding here.

I don't know that I would even bet the flop here.

You are probably behind, maybe far behind and you have three poor-playing opponents who appear to be extremely loose and one of them thinks he is tricky.

this is a marginal raise in the HUSH forum...a lot of the people are going to play the A8 here and try to iso...if the table is so loose that you know you are going to get a bunch of callers, I prefer to limp in as well over the raise. I don't have a huge problem with the raise though...its marginal. 5 handed he has the best hand here a significant amount of the time and if he can keep it 2 or 3 handed max he's a significant favorite.

A 5-handed, 10-seat 2/4 table is a lot different than a 6-max table. Most players don't adjust quickly enough to being shorthanded when they're used to being at a full table.
