Default Hand pain while multi-tabling

I'm SURE this has been braught up tons of times but i couldn't get any real hits on the search.
I've always been a computer geek so my hand has been placed on a mouse for half of my life(aside from when i played a MUD) and reciently i began multi-tabling (8 now) well, my right hand is starting to hurt a fair bit, and not just my hand, but down my palm and into my wrist, and 1/4 down my forearm. I've been switching which hand i use to click every 30 minutes while playing.

I really can't stand the thought of having to lay off online poker, i've finally found a way i can make decient cash through college and i'm not letting go of it. last week i ordered a vertical mouse i hopes of lessoning the annoyance.

My real question is:
what do you multi-tablers do to make this easier?

thanks,

galahad(who needs to get good at MTTs)

I started having the same problem, so I went to an electronics store and bought a wrist support glove. It has a stiff strip that keeps the wrist fairly straight and some beans or something under the palm that your hand rests on. I've found that it helps a lot, no more wrist pain and hopefully no expensive and painful surgery.

Make sure your wrist is paralell with your elbow. Meaning, the wrist should be straight. Holding your hand up or down puts a lot of stress on it over time.

Also, stop jerking off so much.

dude my setup is amazing. i put my 2 monitors on a wooden bench and play on my recliner all day. i rest my mouse on my armrest and my keyboard on my lap. its so comfortable and i dont get armpain because my elbow is touching the armrest as i play. i have to turn my head sideways to read the screen, so that might give me some joint pains, im not really sure, but the fact that im on a recliner makes up for all the back pains youll get on a chair. i also have a massage pad coming in the mail. thatll be kickass.

Here's how I helped it (I play 30k hands a week).

- "Evoluent II" vertical mouse (very easy and fast to adapt)
- Powerball for exercises

Google these, I sincerely hope it can help you out. It has done me some noticeable good.

Also, make sure to visit a couple office ergonomics websites, some have very helpful tips and exercises.

Try a Logitech Trackman Wheel, they cost about $35. Compared to a regular mouse this thing rocks.
