Default KK - anybody play different ?

200 PL 10 players

I've not been doing well here, so not quite sure what sort of image I have.

Hero has two black kings in the CO

Villains are both the blinds -

All have 200+ and both villains cover Hero.

Folded to hero, who makes a full pot raise.
Both villains call.

Flop Pot ($21)
8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to hero - who bets $15, villain 1 minraises to $30, villain 2 folds, hero calls.

Turn Pot ($81)
2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets $40, hero calls

River Pot ($160)
Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Villain moves in for 150.
Hero folds

How'd I do ?
Anybody push the turn ?
Anybody call the river ?
Anybody fold the flop ?

this might sound weak tight but I fold the turn.

I just don't see what hand plays this way aside from a set and also because I take this line a lot with a set.

Tough hand. On the river you aren't beating much. The problem as I see it is what do you do if the river blanks off. Do you call his bet? If you do, then you should raise the turn all-in in case he is on a draw. If you don't, then you should fold the turn. I feel like this is a case of you wanting him to slow down and hoping that he will but really knowing deep down that he won't. The time to make the decision is on the turn. You KNOW that he is going to push the river. If you are going to call on a blank river, you should push the turn. If you aren't, you should fold the turn.

yea turn fold sounds good, unless you can really put him on qq or jj.

you are most definitely beat on the river if this player has sense.

Good point, but I wasnt sure if I was beat (yet). When he pushed the club I was fairly certain that the card didnt bother him and so I was beat. (course he coulda had QQ all along)

If there was no club then I would fold to his push on the river, but figured (hoped)he might check a weaker hand in this spot.

Its tough to push the turn here - does everybody always fold the turn to this play ?

Look at the stack size. I know you are hoping that he will slow down. But he won't. I always fold or push the turn here. Usually fold. If I have seen someone get cute with a draw before, I might push. But first time, someone who c/r the flop and leads the turn gets a fold out of me here.

if you are going to call on a blank river but fold to a flush river, shouldn't you just call the turn as a turn raise will for a fold from him?

If you are going to call a blank river, just put it in on the turn. Because maybe you're right that he's on a flush draw and maybe I'm wrong that he is pushing no matter what.

If you're willing to call the flop minraise, is it to see what action he's gonna take on the turn ?

Why would no one reraise the flop here instead of calling ?

edit : a flop minraise with a flush draw doesn't make much sense to me (unless he's got a BIG draw), so it's either an overpair trying to catch a continuation bet or a set. Either way, a read might help figure it out, but the turn could just bring a scare card which either kills your action or puts you in trouble if he ever was on a draw.
