Default Stars vs. Party

Why do you prefer one site versus another for SNGs?

I like the structure of the tourneys better on Stars than on Party. I feel I have more time to “outplay” the other players. I think accelerated/quick structures like on Party as well as the Stars turbos bring out more all in fests. Some people like this type of game better, I don’t but that is just my opinion. The accelerated games do allow for more games per hour though. I am not a grinder so getting in as many games as possible is not a priority to me.

So why are you on Stars or Party. Is it the tournament structure? The larger pool of fish? Do you feel like you can make more per hour just because you can get more games in?

What other reasons go into your selection? Software? Deposit bonuses? Availability of other games (ring, MTTs, etc)?

What makes you choose one or the other? And for people on other sites why are you playing there?

Anything else I am missing let me know.

Having recently switched from Poker Room (just like Stars) to Party.

Avg. Tourney Duration at Party: 32mins
Avg. Tourney Duration at PokerRoom: 50mins.

'Nuf said. I could never play anywhere else now.

I think playing in stars has some advatages, if u want to be a world class player u must know how to play really well post-flop. That being said I prefer party.

Stars cards are too small. Hard for multi-tabling.

I think it pretty much comes down to what your goal with Poker is at the moment. My goal at the moment (doing $20 SnGs) is certainly not to make money. I want to evolve into a better player, and I constantly try to analyse my game, other game and strategies to become a better player. I find fast blind structures to yeild less experience than the slower ones as at Stars.

That said, I'm in Betsson(/PokerRoom) atm, but planning to switch to Stars just for that reason.

Not to single you out but I here this comment a lot, I am not playing for the money I want to be a better player...what is poker all about? I thought the purpose of gambling was to make money and if you can make more money does that not make you a better/smarter player for knowing how to make more money?
