Ya, we have too much equity not to three bet that. Lots and lots of weaker hands raise you here, and we don't want the others staying in with gutshots.

Is this because we saw no aggression from anyone previously? That may be true of someone holding Tx. But what about J9? Do we call a cap and check/call or lay it down?

There are a multitude of hand that will raise the turn here that we are missing a ton of value not to 3-bet.

Also guys this is something hugely important that some of you seem to be missing. There are two others in the pot that are floating the pot and are basically drawing dead. Even if there is a decent chance that Villain has a straight, we have equity to raise for boat value with others calling.

You're all wrong. At least, I'll tell you why I think so.

The flop- Hero couldn't be any more aggressive, as he bets and is called. Whateva.

The turn- If AJ is out there, hero saves himself a bet when he doesn't raise. Also, if he reraises, he makes UTG+1 and MP1 face two bets cold, when he COULD get those 2 bets now, and possibly 2 more on the river. Now, of course, MP1 folded on the turn and UTG+1 folded on the river, but that is besides the point. If he gets 1 extra bet out of the CO on the turn, and 1 bet on the river, that is nothing compared to the 2 he could've gotten on the turn and the 2 he could've gotten on the river.

The river- Good card for someone to make a 2nd best hand.

Still, I think he had more EV only calling the raise on the turn rather than reraising.

Discuss!
