Default What to do with QQ against this Donk

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

BB ($14.80)
UTG ($56.85)
UTG+1 ($28.65)
MP1 ($50.25)
MP2 ($17.25)
MP3 ($49.25)
CO ($47.45)
Button ($75.50)
Hero ($15.05)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1.50, MP1 folds, MP3 calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50.

Flop: ($9) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets $3, UTG+1 folds, MP3 folds, CO raises to $7, Hero raises to $13.05, CO calls $6.05.

Turn: ($35.10) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: ($35.10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $35.10

CO shows 7-10 offsuit with 1 heart to make the gutshot straight draw. Was this a bad call by the donk or should I have gone all in or raised more on the flop? What are the odds that he hits? Thanks in advance

He'll hit the gutshot about 18% of the time off of the flop, but I think that he'll actually win the hand less often because you have a higher backdoor flush draw.

Anyway, what you should do is be grateful that he called your all-in without the proper odds. Reload, stack him later and stop posting bad beats.

Pokerstove shows you as a 4-1 fave on the flop.

Your weak flop bet kills you, in kind of a stupid way. 1/3rd of the pot (I would've pushed w/ that stack) gives him exactly the odds he needs to peel one; instead he chooses to donkraise. You (rightfully) get all-in, but needing to call only $6 more in a $25 pot, he's right to call. I sincerely doubt he thought this hand out to any extent, but you simply have to protect your hand here. Open-push.

EDIT: You've got the Q of hearts! That = 3% statistical swing. Makes his play slightly worse, but still not enough. Bet big!

How does it give him odds to call... Gutshot has 4 outs... He's only getting 4:1 odds on like a 11:1 shot.

You could argue that the villain is getting even worse odds because he pot commits himself when he raises all in.

Nothing you can do about it.

Wow.. misinformation everwhere.

YES, calling the 6$ bet isn't an aggregious offense, but raising there in the first place is. The villain played it badly. he got lucky. Next hand

I'm not saying the donk didn't play terribly, but Hero gave him a chance to play somewhat less terribly than he might have. Gutshot + running two pair or trips makes him about a 4:1 dog. On two occasions - the flop bet and the push call - he got his price to see the turn. There's no reason to allow this. You could have played better. Bet the flop like you mean it.

Raise more pre-flop. At LEAST $3. I'd presonally make it 4. You need to trim this field way down. What was the typical raise from high pocket pair on the table?
Bet more on the flop. At this level you need to pot size it or even slightly over bet the pot, especially against a large field. You lost this hand because you played it poorly. It happens... learn from your mistakes.

Thanks for all the input. The table was very tight to big preflop raises and that is why I elected to go 1.5 because I figured one or two people would have called with the table. Looking back on it I should have atleast bet the pot on the flop. I will not make this mistake again. Thanks again
