Default Amount needed to play at micro tables online..?

Ive only played Stud live and I wanted to start playing online because the local game is only open on weekends. What is a good amount to sit down with at the .50/$1 table? How big do the pots get? Are most players very loose?

thanks

25BB is fine - if you get short its online and easy to reload.

I guess it depends on the site. The site I regularly play at has no cap if heads up, so I make sure I always sit with 50 more than the person with the highest amount just in case. And it's happened twice now where I've been fortunate I did that

Default Advantage to having no cap?

Just curious as to why it would matter if there is a cap in a limit game. I've seen some idiots sit at a 2-4 game with $4000. That doesn't really affect the way the game is played. Please correct me if I misread your post. Thanks

If you have no cap you can go more then 4 bets a street if the pot is heads up which is an advantage to better players. Imagine if you made Aces full and your opp. made kings full - wouldnt it be nice to be able to extract all that players chips instead of just 4 bets per round?

I don't want to tell It's my secret! Heh. It's Sporting Bet, and the games are as soft as all hell. 30BB pot is the standard at 1/2 or 2/4, and there's even a neato rakeback deal in the classifieds here which helps. Have trip aces showing after raising on 3rd with split? You'll still get 2-3 callers all the way to 7th.

There was a hilarious hand last night that shows how retarded the site is. Guy has JJJ showing on 5th, while another has AQ3, all spades. Ends up heads up, and it's 6 bets here until JJJ finally just calls. JJJ hits a T on 6th, and AQ3 hits a blank(a 2). JJJ bets, AQ3 just calls. Then on the river AQ3 wakes up and starts raising. It goes to 24 bets....24 bets......before finally JJJ just calls.

As expected, JJJ had Jacks full of tens. AQ3 had Queens Full. Yet it took 24 bets before JJJ finally called.

Edit: Oh, it's for all games. And I believe Crypto network have same.
