KK and Mr. Hoover?
Here is a recent hand where my KK wasn't played sp well, IMHO.Villan is a rock (20%/3%/0.80/22%) who is pretty solid. What do you all think, do I push on the flop? Too weak on the turn. Very worried about JJ or TT.

Re: KK and Mr. Hoover?
I don't see why you are so worried about JJ and TT . He could have called you with AK, AQ, AJ , and any pocket pair basically. You have the K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] so you have the 2nd best flush draw out there if he did happen to make a low flush which I don't see here.
Villain could be raising with AJ here. He perhaps viewed your bet on the flop as very weak and if I was in the hand with AJ , I would certainly raise to the size of the pot, here. I say bet $6 on the flop. If he raises to $12 then you can seriously consider that you are beat and check the turn but as you played it, you can't really think that you are beat on the turn since your flop bet was so small. This is the reason that small bets on the flop are so bad, because you don't really gain any information from them. Anyway, bet $6 on the flop, bet 1/2 to 3/4 pot on the turn and possibly check the river if you feel that you are beat but you have a great hand here and I would keep betting. YOu have no reason to believe that he has a flush and I would say less likely that he has the flush since he checked the turn. |
