[ QUOTE ]
prolly coulda raised more preflop [/ QUOTE ] That isn't the problem here. You clearly arent going to open raise more than T80 this early as that makes big hands not profitable because you just steal T25 in blinds. You need to keep it from T60-T90 this early and for the most part neither of those will bet mid PP's out of the hand. I don't get away from this, and I would venture to guess that most players don't, just an example of how tough tournies can be. as far as the 'now what?' question I would probably reraise here and be fairly happy I am getting action. This could be anything from 88-AA, AK-AJ, KJ, QJ, I get my money to the center and am ecstatic, until he flips over the dreaded set. ~Justin |

Re: ALREADY, my bust out hand in the Mil guaranteed. Comments?
If you put him as a very solid player, who might be a little careful this early on in the tournament, call followed by check/call or possible check/fold might be in order (or a small reraise and then fold to an all-in from him).
But I would not suggest a call, to many hands that can outdraw you. A very likely hand he could have is a J and one more card in hearts, like AJ[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or QJ[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], and you definitely dont want those hands to get a free card. I would move all-in here, and if he happens to have 89 or a set you are just beat. A hand like JT leaves you with some outs. If I wanted to be careful (and weak), I would call and go into check-call mode, and hope that he lets me keep some chips in case he flopped a monster. |
