Default how good is your limit hold em is hard for me to read

I have started to read how good is your limit hold em. It is a pretty good book. However, I do not like how the book is laid out. You are given problems to solve but the answer comes later rather than right after the question. So, you have to flip back and forth (at least I do). I find this annoying. The book does not "flow" as good as middle limit hold em or small stakes hold em.

Aren't you supposed to work out the answers for yourself then check if you are right? I don't own the book, but this seems a much more effective way to work through it. If the answers are inline, it's too easy to peek.

I used to play chess, and I learned the quickest solving chess puzzles. They forced me to really think for myself rather than just reading about chess and not really understanding everything. When I started playing poker, I was suprised at the dearth of poker "puzzle" books since they are so effective.

Exactly. Too many books, whose publishers shall go nameless here, state a problem and then give the answer (raise, call, etc.) as the very first word of the next line. It is a major pain to try to read a problem while covering up the bottom half of that page and all of the next page, where the next Q&A is.

Sounds like my kind of book.

Agreed. Having to cover the answers while thinking through hand quizzes is annoying.
