Cold-donking with AJo, then the LRR...
MP3's been coming in pretty light. UTG+1 is loose/goofy. Before the LRR I think I might have the best PF hand but dont want to 3-bet out of position since there's already a cold-caller.
Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I don't like calling a raise from SB PF multiway even if the raiser is loose.
You forgot to raise that flop and lead the turn. |

Re: Cold-donking with AJo, then the LRR...
well the range of hands I put UTG+1 on was AA, KK, QQ, or cheese. I don't want to give this guy a chance to fold his underpair, but you're right I probably should have raised with the button in there though I felt he was drawing slim.

Re: Cold-donking with AJo, then the LRR...
I'd make a note to value bet my medium strength hands against the player who is on the button in this hand. He will probably continue to chase his two-outers and pay off your better hands...fwiw

Re: Cold-donking with AJo, then the LRR...
I bet my medium strength hands at 3/6 in general. I thought the button would raise hearts on the flop regardless of the LRR so I thought he had a worse ace or was even deader, which ended up being the case. And I thought I was WA/WB of UTG+1 so that's that way I played it.

Re: Cold-donking with AJo, then the LRR...
You have to raise the flop here. Since the pot is three-way UTG+1's response to the raise will define his hand very effectively, plus you want to get some value from the button caller.

well the range of hands I put UTG+1 on was AA, KK, QQ, or cheese. [/ QUOTE ] Just for reference, my experience has been that only 40% of the LRRs I have seen WHERE I HAVE SEEN THE CARDS have been AA-QQ. Presumably those cards see a showdown more often than others, so the true precentage of LRRs which are AA-QQ is probably lower. |

Read on button? I don't really like the pre-flop call. Sure, he's raising light, but if you can't isolate and play this HU I don't think its worth playing.

button's loose/passive pf, loose/semi-aggressive postflop.
