wtf...is this legal?
I'm playing in a $100 HU on stars today, and the other player, named Glassworks, asks for $10.50 if he loses. Jokingly, i say "yes" just to [censored] with him. Anyway, I win. Two hours later i check my history and it turns out $10.50 from my account was sent to him. I never authorized this, and I think stars support did it. They never asked for my authorization and just sent him money.
wtf? |

Re: wtf...is this legal?
Doesn't sound too legal, I would contact the support.

Re: wtf...is this legal?
Lol. That is odd and hilarious. Why didn't you just email support?

Re: wtf...is this legal?
i just did, and they are a bunch of idiots. They say that i clearly authorized the deal in chat, even though i was being sarcastic, and therefore they MUST inforce it. Honestly, wtf. If i wanted to send the piece of [censored] $10 i would have done it myself, im not retarded.

Re: wtf...is this legal?
They see it as a type of chop. If you lost you would have gotten 10 dollars back. You did authorize it, and it will stand. You are allowed to chop and make deals on stars, so just be aware, its a good thing usually.

Shoot Lee jones an email and just tell him look your support made a silly mistake and its not worth $10 to lose my rake.

his email is?
Also, What prevents me from going to high stakes tables and asking people for $1,000. If they say yes, will support send it? |

[/ QUOTE ] Once principle of contract law is that there must be "consideration," a technical term meaning there must be something in it for both sides. Otherwise, the contract is usually not enforced. If you would not have gotten anything if you had lost, there was no consideration, and it was a promise instead of an agreement. If so, PokerStars should not have taken the money from your account. |

Re: wtf...is this legal?
i tried telling them that pzhon. They replied by saying that it was a legal contract, even though I got nothing in return. I don't really care about the $10, its just the principle.
