I'm still a micro-guy, but as most of you are graduates from .5/1, I'd really appreciate your responses.
For those of you that have graduated from .5/1, how did you know you were ready? Was it strictly a bankroll issue? Did you use hands played as a benchmark? Or was it that you understood the game better and felt confident that you would succeed? I've nearly got the roll for 3/6, (thanks bonuswhores) but as a naturally risk averse personality, I don't have the cajones. The money means something to me, it's not just operating capital, it's money that I have worked and studied for. I've taken a couple of short shots at 1/2 (220 hands) and capping the turn gives me the butterflies again. Having started at .02/.04, I have felt the same way with each jump up in levels. This post has gone in a bunch of different directions, and I apologize to the reader, but I'd like to hear how you guys made your move, especially those who fully skipped 1/2. Thanks Nate |

I understand my game, and actively look for leaks. Finding and fixing them is a tough process, and my results have maintained statistically similar. I lurk here a ton, and find some of the concepts a stretch for me. Although I often feel I am one of the better players at a table at my current limit, my hesitation is that the next level will require a skill set that I don't have. 13K hands, 3/100 at .5/1. I think I should be ready, but the kiddie pool is so comfortable. Any and all suggestions, hints, tips, advice, and bashing are appreciated. Nate |

Actively trying to find leaks at .5/1 is futile, because any leaks you find at .5/1 are so obvious that to have them means you lack a fundamental understanding of the game. Every level I've moved up has also moved me into a pretty big shift in how my game progresses.
