Default Call this river?

Villain seems like your typical weak passive Party fish. Calls down any over card, any piece of the flop.

I bet this flop, to see where I stood, tiny chance I take it down right there. With the call from Villain, I think it's likely he has an Ace, but could have a lower PP, 7 or 5, or even two broadway. My plan now is to check down the turn (no way he bets) and check the river, or call a bet if he makes one. He makes the bet at the river, and I thought 6-1 was good enough odds that he doesn't have an ace.

What do you think? Correct call, or should I have folded?

Given your read, I bet the turn, and I'd have bet the river too if it hadn't paired the flop.

I bet/fold the turn
I check/fold the river

kinda looks like villian is either going for a c/r on the turn or playing WA/WB

you should bet the turn against a calling station that could be calling with anything. Fold if you are checkraised. If you have the best hand on the turn, you really don't want to be giving any free cards.
I would check behind on the river.

I would have bet the turn (and check the river) and folded if raised.
