I made this for those of you interested. I'm sure most of you could make this in a couple of minutes anyway, but for those of you who can't, here you go .
It's interesting to put different levels in the BB field at the bottom and watch the numbers change. It's also interesting to just make that a 0 and look at what rakeback is alone. The only thing I think I should have added was to be able to change the rakeback %...but whatever. It looks like this for those without Excel: [image] ![]() |

Is this for 2/4 or 3/6. I'm sure i could do the math, but it's easier to ask.

FWIW as well:
I'm having a terrible time not seeing why I shouldn't go pro at this point. I was hoping to talk to someone that just grinds the crap out of a level like this. Didn't Peter (bisonbison) do this? I make 45K/year salary at my current job. However, you need to factor in insurance, 401K, paid vacation, etc. Also, there's the whole job security thing with a family of 5. However, I can't imagine making less than 90K/year doing this. This seems like a no-brainer. I get to make my own schedule day by day, be at home with the family all the time, etc. Someone please tell me why I'm crazy. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is the same logic that drove me to take a leave of absence from my job for a year. IMO I should easily be able to make as much playing as I do teaching. That said, I have to believe that the security/insurance benefits that you get from your job are too much to pass up. I am single and a bum. You are a man with responsibilites. I think you could do it, but I'd make sure you have the following: (a) a bankroll of 1500BB (b) at LEAST 6 months of living expenses in case you hit the skids Another thing to consider is that anything you do full time is gonna start to feel like a job, even if it is something as awesome as playing poker. |

I thought your poker mid-life crisis was over.
There's soooooo much more to think about with this decision than how much more money you could potentially make comparing just one to the other. That's all I'll say for now. |
