Default Should I be calling to eliminate a player?

Here's a couple situations from a Party $33 Limit Tourney:
The first one is seems like a relatively easy fold to be but I'm wondering if I should see the flop.

200/400 TourneyTexasHTGameTable (Limit) (Tournament 12454402) - Mon May 23 07:45:54 EDT 2005
Table $3,000 guaranteed(342981) Table 2 (Real Money) -- Seat 1 is the button

Total number of players : 8
Seat 1: blkturbo996 (850)
Seat 2: paxtonquigly (935)
Seat 3: Blindcurve (3385)
Seat 4: madprodigy (3025)
Seat 5: dedor (1390)
Seat 6: okie2525 (5984)
Seat 8: Beebles (3980)
Seat 9: joshkoz (8328)

paxtonquigly posts small blind (100)
Blindcurve posts big blind (200)

** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Blindcurve [ 3h, 2d ]
madprodigy folds.
dedor folds.
okie2525 folds.
Beebles folds.
joshkoz folds.
blkturbo996 folds.
paxtonquigly raises (300) to 400
Blindcurve ??

Here, he's only got 500 more, I have to hit to win and he has to totally miss. Also, he might have a pair and everything beats me. It's a total muck against a pair, but against something like AT or KQ?

This second hand seems a little harder to judge:

300/600 TourneyTexasHTGameTable (Limit) (Tournament 12454402) - Mon May 23 08:02:09 EDT 2005
Table $3,000 guaranteed(342981) Table 2 (Real Money) -- Seat 10 is the button
Total number of players : 9
Seat 1: blkturbo996 (900)
Seat 3: Blindcurve (2785)
Seat 4: madprodigy (800)
Seat 5: dedor (1540)
Seat 6: okie2525 (3144)
Seat 7: bbeamer777 (9685)
Seat 8: Beebles (7930)
Seat 9: joshkoz (9128)
Seat 10: Strykis (3384)

blkturbo996 posts small blind (150)
Blindcurve posts big blind (300)

** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Blindcurve [ Td, 7c ]
madprodigy raises (600) to 600
dedor folds.
okie2525 folds.
bbeamer777 folds.
Beebles folds.
joshkoz folds.
Strykis folds.
blkturbo996 folds.
Blindcurve ??

Should I be thinking "I have two live cards lets race for 200 more?" Or just let him pickup my blind?

Comments?

-D.

hey some familiar faces.

I finished 3rd behind you, you kept stealing my BB from the SB. This was only my 3rd limit holdem tournament so I wasn't sure how to deal with this in limit play. I lost over half my stack when I rereaised you before the flop with J6 offsuit and you hit a queen on the turn with your Q8 in an attempt to stop you from doing this.

you are not calling "to eliminate a player" you are calling because you are getting sweet odds. And yes, fold the first, call the second.
